Elevate Your Quality of Life with a Home Elevator

We have a news flash for you! Home elevators are no longer reserved for the wealthy – they are now a viable and, more importantly, affordable option for anyone struggling with their mobility. These space-saving elevators are also a popular choice among savvy homeowners who want to get the most out of their homes in terms of practicality and value.

There are a few reasons behind the increase that we are seeing in home elevator installations and today we’ll let you in on the awesome benefits that an elevator will bring to your home:

Home elevators increase the value of your home

Installing a home elevator is a great investment that will add to the resale value of your home and increase its appeal to buyers. Many homebuyers are looking for homes that will meet their needs as they grow older and their minds are instantly put at ease when they view a home with an elevator. You can remove the worry that buyers may have about making improvements to a house later on in life and, simultaneously, increase your chances of getting your asking price, by simply making a profitable investment in a home elevator today.

Practical elevators for all types of lifestyles

Home elevators are not just for people with mobility issues anymore. We’ve installed elevators for families, elderly people, war veterans, and, well, the list goes on. The simple fact is that home elevators are practical and they help people get things done easier, quicker and more safely. If you have mobility issues, you’ll be able to travel upstairs and downstairs with your belongings with ease – you can even fit a wheelchair in our lifts. If you have an active family, you can get your chores done in no time – load the elevator with laundry, groceries, kids and your four-legged friends and off you go.

Home elevators are a safe solution to staircase dangers

Every year, thousands of people, both young and old, sustain injuries from falling down staircases. In fact, staircases are responsible for a significant percentage of accidents in the home. Elevators eliminate the dangers of an older person with mobility issues taking a misstep and falling; they also give parents peace of mind that their children won’t slip as they run up and down the stairs or try to jump from halfway up … we’ve all done it, haven’t we? You’ll feel safe and sound in a Stiltz home elevator from Western Stairlifts as they come with an electric motor that has a back-up battery just in case of a power outage, so you’ll never get stuck.

The Stiltz home elevators that we stock at Western Stairlifts have a small footprint, which means that they can be installed in any home! Come down to our showroom and we’ll be happy to show you how an elevator will elevate your quality of life.

Great post! Thank you for helping me understand the benefits of having a home elevator. I really like how you explained that “Elevators eliminate the dangers of an older person with mobility issues taking a misstep and falling; they also give parents peace of mind that their children won’t slip as they run up and down the stairs or try to jump from halfway up.” I have never had an elevator before but I can imagine how helpful one can be when it comes to going up and down the different floors in your home.

My grandma has limited mobility issues and is looking to move into a house where the master bedroom is on the main floor. I wonder if just building a new house with an elevator installed in it would be a better option. It seems more practical and I like how you can choose an elevator that has an electric motor in case of a power outage so she doesn’t get stuck on it.

I didn’t know that you could have elevators like this installed in your home. It would make things so convenient! It would be nice to have some added home value, too.

We just started installing these for our remodeling customers, and many of them are elderly so they get a ton of benefit from them. One went from the basement to the kitchen to the bedroom and the couple said it was a godsend because the stairs were really hurting them. Thanks for sharing this!
