Advantages of purchasing a straight stairlifts for a curved stairlift: You must first determine if the landing between the stairs is at least 36″ X 36″ or wider and there are no pie steps breaking up the landing. (Landing would need to be flat). Having two straight stairlifts will require the rider to transfer from one lift to the other on the landing dividing the stairs. Average cost for two stairlifts $5500.00 – $6500.00 (Half the price of the curved stairlift) and usually takes less than a week to get installed. Two straight stairlifts is a good solution if the user can transfer from chair to chair and you have a large enough landing.
